It was all part of a day’s performance driving, organised by Alfa Romeo, the official car supplier of UK Athletics (UKA), following the UK trials in Birmingham on July 10-12.

They’re calling it the Sportiest Compact Car in the World. With just a flick of the D.N.A. selector near the gear stick, the entire dynamics of the car change. The MiTo is unmistakably an Alfa – concentrated into a taut and eager package, delivering a driving experience in the true Alfa sports tradition. And great sports traditions continued in August as the Great Britain and Northern Ireland team enjoyed their most successful World Championships for 10 years, gaining a total of six medals comprising of two gold, two silver and two bronze.
